Fifth year Wolves players, Erica Rude, Jen Seemann and Erin Slemp were honored during GPRC’s final home weekend, against the King’s Eagles.
While taking care of the Kings University College Eagles with a pair of wins, the Grande Prairie Regional College Wolves also took time to honor their three fifth year players, who played for their final time at GPRC this weekend.
Jen Seemann, Erin Slemp and Erica Rude were presented plaques by the program, following the club’s nine-point victory on Friday night. Taking advantage of the newly increased eligibility rule this year, the three players wrapped up their fifth and final season of college basketball, as the old rule only allowed fours years of play.
Seemann has played all five season with GPRC, making her the first in the College’s history to play five consecutive seasons with the Wolves. Amongst her numerous other awards and accolades, Seemann will finish her career as the GPRC Wolves All-Time Leading Scorer and All-Time Leading Rebounder.
Slemp and Rude both joined the Wolves last season, contributing to the program’s recent resurgence, after previously playing elsewhere in the ACAC. Slemp played three years for the Concordia Thunder, including being a member of the national championship team in 2005. Rude played for the Prairie Bible College Pilots in the ACAC South Division from 2002-2005, before joining GP in 2006.
