Update: August 7, 2018
Thank you to our community for its ongoing support as we continue to restore our Grande Prairie facilities to full operation.
GPRC has been working hard following a small fire which occurred on the evening of Friday, May 25, 2018. Since the fire, the College has had more than 100 individuals from multiple contractors working seven days a week doing the restoration and repair.
GPRC is on track to achieve its goal to have much of these spaces open by mid-August. All programs and classes will start in September as planned.
Throughout the restoration and repair project GPRC’s first priority has been to ensure students, faculty and staff have a safe, healthy and fully-restored space to learn and teach.
Currently the A and C Wings, with the exception of the Alumni Lounge (C224), have reopened to College users. Access is restricted in the B-Wing which is the space most affected by the fire. Work in the B Wing is on scheduled to reopen in the coming weeks in advance of students returning to GPRC for the fall term.
