Alberta Works Grant Funding
You may be eligible for Alberta Works funding. To qualify for this program you must be an Alberta resident in financial need, and have an employment goal.
The Alberta Works Learner Income Support Program, administered in partnership by Alberta Employment and Immigration (AEI) and Service Canada:
- Provides grants for books, tuition, and living allowance.
- Provides financial support for adult residents of Alberta who are attending full-time programs.
- Supports education that offers the most expedient route to employment.
- Supports learners in eligible programs
- Supports certificate and diploma programs completed within twenty months.
- Supports English as a Second Language and College Preparation programs.
Alberta Works Part-Time Funding
The Alberta Works Income Support Program provides financial support for adult residents of Alberta who are attending part-time training.
Alberta Works Application Process
Apply and get accepted to the funded program. Complete all required forms, obtain required documents and make an appointment with a Financial Aid Liaison for an assessment.
In order to maintain your funding as an Alberta Works funded student, you must continue to meet eligibility criteria while attending school.
Grande Prairie Regional College has limited funds available for Alberta Works learners. If grant funding is not available for the current year, students are encouraged to apply for the following year.
