GPRC offers a variety of services which help to equalize educational opportunities for students with disabilities. The Disability Resource Provider promotes and coordinates a variety of accommodations, on an individual case basis, to make your chosen program workable for you. You will need to meet the admission requirements for your program.
Students wishing psychological testing or assessment of learning disabilities will need to contact local community resources for these services.
- The Alberta government department ofEmployment Immigration and Industry, can make referrals for assessments. Inquiries can be made at the nearest Canada Employment Centre. In Grande Prairie contact the Labour Market Information Centre at (780) 538-2943. The Disability Resource Provider can help students access this resource.
- Students who access Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped (AISH) are able to request psychological assessments through their local AISH office. In Grande Prairie call (780) 833-4399.
