Partnerships

Alberta-North is a consortium of seven northern post-secondary institutions who are working together to improve the ability of northern communities to access college, university and technical programs and courses. The partners provide facilities, learning technologies, and support services to over 50 distance education sites throughout northern Alberta. At these sites, students can receive courses and programs delivered by many different post-secondary institutions.

 

eCampusAlberta is a consortium of fifteen colleges and technical institutes established to facilitate increased access to high quality online learning opportunities. The consortium is developing a collaborative online learning initiative that currently spans across the province of Alberta.

 

Lois Hole Campus Alberta Digital Library is an innovative initiative of The Alberta Library. It provides participating post-secondary institutions in Alberta with digital information resources for teaching, learning and research.

 

NEOS is a cooperative library consortium of government, hospital, college and university libraries throughout Alberta. Member libraries share an on-line integrated library system; an electronic catalogue of consortium holdings, a shared patron database, onsite services such as reciprocal borrowing and reference services, an interlibrary loan service supported by a document delivery distribution system; collaborative electronic database subscriptions; cooperative collection development, and shared continuing education and staff development activities.

 

The Alberta Library (TAL) is a province-wide library consortium that works to promote universal, barrier-free access to the materials and resources in Alberta's diverse libraries. Membership includes public, university, college, technical institute and special libraries. These organizations collaborate to promote and facilitate resource sharing, continuing education, and library advocacy.
