Horticultural Therapy Certification Program - NEW
Horticultural Therapy uses horticultural activities as a form of therapy and to enhance quality of life. It is used in conjunction with other therapies such as recreation, occupational., and physiotherapy rehabilitation. Horticultural Therapy among other applications is used in hospitals, long-term care facilities, correctional institutes and schools.

|Horticultural Therapy with Christine PollardThe Canadian Horticultural Therapy Association provides certification to Horticultural Therapist Professionals who complete the required courses and work experience.Fairview College Campus is now offering courses for the 2009/2010 year - five 18-hour courses in an online format and the 40-hour practicum on campus. Students may meet in a college compute lab or log in from home on a high-speed internet connection.. The college will provide microphone headsets for students.
The course instructor is Christine Pollard, a certified Horticultural Therapist based in British Columbia. Christine delivers training sanctioned by the Canadian Horticultural Therapy Association.
