Introduction to Equine Hoof Anatomy and Trimming

This course introduces the student to the anatomy and physiology of the horse from the knees down. Lectures and demonstations emphasize the importance of proper trimming and the student will gain practical experience on both dead and live horse feet.

Intermediate Equine Hoof Care

In this course, the student who is more comfortable with trimming will learn more advanced skills, such as diagnosing and correcting problems and will learn basic hoof shoeing.

Pesticide Tutorial Course pesticide
This course helps participants prepare for license exams by improving their understanding of the underlying concepts, terminology and information included in Lakeland College's home study course. The specific course materials must be reviewed prior to attending this workshop and must be purchased from Lakeland College (1-866-853-8646)

Artificial Insemination of Cattle
This course will discuss the anatomy of female organs, equipment, placement of semen, heat detection, when to breed, nutrition, selection of sires, reproduction, diseases, the management of calving and will involve practice cows. Oriented to the novice practitioner for private use. Refresher course also available.
