Palaeontology Program
The Palaeontology Program is affiliated to and works under the administration of the Science Department.
The goal of the GPRC Palaeontology Program is to utilize the Region’s rich, world-class palaeontological resources by establishing Grande Prairie Regional College as a hub of palaeontological activities involving research scientists, research institutions, educators and the general public.
Activities include:

- Facilitating Research

- College and University Transfer Summer Courses
- Public Education
- Community Outreach
- Facilitating relations with the scientific community
Rural Alberta’s Development Fund Project
The RADF Project (EIO421 - Pipestone Creek Dinosaur Initiative) funds are available (through a contract agreement between the County of Grande Prairie no. 1 and Grande Prairie Regional College) to develop Northwest Alberta’s palaeontological resources to provide educational, economic and community development opportunities for the people of the Peace Region.
