The Fine Arts Conservatory is committed to nurturing the creative spirit of
students of every age in the Arts.
Private instruction is offered in bagpipes, baritone, clarinet, cello, composition, flute, guitar, horn, Irish harp, lute, music technology, oboe, piano, percussion, saxophone, trombone, trumpet, tuba, viola, violin, voice, and theory. Classes are available in early childhood music programs such as Music for Young Children, music theory, photography and digital imagery. Music students may prepare for examinations with Conservatory Canada or the Royal Conservatory of Music. Student recitals are held throughout the year.
The Conservatory faculty is comprised of Grande Prairie Regional College faculty from the Fine Arts Department, local professional musicians, artists and selected college advanced students. Fees for music lessons range from $12.00 to $40.00 per half hour lesson. There is a non-refundable annual registration fee of $35.00 per student or $50.00 per family.
