Individual Categories
Fifty dollars ($50) from each registration fee is combined to form the cash prizes in each category. The total prize amount will be split evenly between the four categories.
For Example:
With 300 total participants, the winners from each category would win $2,500. Second runner-up, $750 and third place finishers would take home $500.
Winners from each category will be determined by the participant with the greatest point total in that category.
Friends & Family (Couples) Category
Two individuals who are both registered in the challenge can pay an additional $45 fee to enter the Friends & Family category and win an additional cash prize.
Please note the full $45 Friends & Family fee from each pair is combined to form the cash prize in this category, the extra $45 is not an additional admin fee.
Fit ‘N Firm For Life
The Fit ‘N Firm Challenge promotes lifelong lifestyle changes. In an effort to further promote this, and at the request of previous winners and past participants, the Fit ‘N Firm Challenge has an extra incentive for the 1st place winners of the Challenge. First place winners will receive 50% of their prize money at the final ceremony in May. The other 50% of the prize will be held until the next challenge begins in January of the following year (approximately 8 months). Optional midpoint appointments can be scheduled throughout the 8 month period should our winners wish to check in. Winners must re-test between Jan 2nd and the date of the first seminar (generally mid Jan) to determine eligibility for the 2nd half of their prize money.
For the winners that do not maintain their results (+ or - 5 lbs. of finishing body weight from previous challenge) throughout the 8 months, their prize money will be added into the prize total for the next challenge.
$1000 Maintenance Award
Any participant who completes a Fit ‘n Firm challenge and re-enters the very next year, is eligible for the $1000 Maintenance Award. This prize will be awarded to the participant with the greatest changes to scale weight in the period between challenges (for example end of '10 challenge to beginning of 2011 challenge).
Previous Winners
Participants that have previously won 1st place in any category may re-enter the Fit ‘N Firm Challenge the next year, but are ineligible for cash prizes unless their initial test body weight for the current challenge is within 5 lbs. of their winning weight on their previous challenge. *Previous winners can be more than 5 lbs. less than their winning weight, but cannot be more than 5 lbs. heavier than their winning weight from the previous challenge to be eligible for cash in current challenge.
