Pre Testing

Girth measurements, scale weight and resting heart rate will be measured during the initial, midpoint and final testing. 

Prior to each test, the participant MUST adhere to the following pre-test instructions in order to keep the tests valid and as accurate as possible:

  1. No caffeine, nicotine, or food 2 hours prior to the test.
  2. No exercise 24 hours prior to the test.
  3. Please wear shorts and a tank top or a swimsuit for the test.

Scoring

Points are awarded for changes to girth measurements, changes to resting heart rate, log book completion, photos and seminar attendance based on the following allocations:

2 points for each lbs lost
2 points for each cm lost
1 point for each change in resting heart rate (must be lower)
10 points for each seminar attended or viewed online

Participant log books are worth 75 total points
*24 points for weekly exercise (12 pts) & nutrition info (12 pts)
*45 points for answering each log book question (7.5 points each)
*6 points for completing each personal worksheet

Changes in before and after photos are worth 75 total points and are judged by Fit 'N Firm Challenge staff.

Winners will be determined by the participant(s) with the greatest point total in each category.

Before and After Photos

Changes in before and after photos contribute to a participant's point total.  In addition, if a tie occurs in a category photos will be used to determine the winner.

Pictures are taken on initial test date and final test date.  Pictures are to be taken with male participants wearing shorts and a tank top or no shirt.  Female participants are required to wear shorts and a tank top, sports bra or swimsuit.  It is to the participants advantage to wear clothing that is form fitting.

Friends & Family Scoring

The individual scores for each couple will be combined to make up their Friends & Family (Couples) score.  The couple with the greatest combined point total will win the designated Friends & Family prize. 

Corporate Challenge Scoring

The individual scores for each member of the organization will be combined, and the average score will be determined as the Corporate score.  The company with the greatest average point total will win the designated Corporate Challenge prize package.
