Results & News

The 2009-10 Wolves are looking forward to playing a fast break, fast paced, in your face style of basketball.  Although smaller in size, this group will be bigger in heart.  The Wolves will play an up-tempo style with a focus on balanced offence and pressure defense. The team has been training extremely hard and is built on speed, athleticism and hard work.

Returning to the pack are Cory Martens (Smithers, BC), Jon Hanna (Terrace, BC), Claude Germain (Montreal, PQ) , Tymon Duinker (Sexsmith, AB), Jerome Kitenge (Scarborough, ON), and Jarrett Zimmerman (Grande Prairie, AB).  All of these players will be asked to take on an increased load in scoring and leadership.

New to the pack are Michael Conlin (Vernon, BC), Gerame Robinson (Michigan), Ben Stunden (Calgary, AB), Dan Francis (Brampton, ON), Daniel Kovnats (Winnipeg, MB).  All these new comers possess excellent athleticism and can play a variety of perimeter positions.

Joining the rookie class are perimeters Mike Brodie (Edmonton, AB), Robby Keeler(Terrace, BC), Oktay Bulatici (High Level, AB), Travis Hunt (Kinuso, AB) and Fred Dumont (Kinuso, AB) who look to make the squad deeper and better through their consistent efforts.

Ali Stogryn(Grande Prairie, AB) leads the managerial team which consists of herself, Sean Collins (Smithers, BC), and Michael Adewunmi (Nigeria).

Coach Chris Nicol enters his eighth season with the Wolves and is re-joined by both Brock Tokar and Cecil Nichol. The coaching staff is excited about the spirit, the commitment to improve and the promise that this group of young men show.

As always, the GPRC squad can be counted on to work hard, improve and promise to be a competitive force in the north.
