Jaymee Sluggett Jordan G

Jaymee is a 1nd year Open Studies student.  She is from Fort Nelson, BC.  Jaymee previously attended Fort Nelson Secondary School.  Over the years, Jaymee has curled in High school, Juvenile and Junior curling programs and play downs.  This year, she is curling third on the Wolves Mixed team.

Jaymee has proven herself to be a real team leader.  She played very well at the Fall Regional meet in Red Deer, December 2-4, 2011 and at the Winter meet in Leduc, February 3-5, 2012.  Jaymee’s strong play, positive attitude and great shot making, helped her team complete a successful season, finishing first overall.. 

Jaymee has shown huge commitments to the sport of curling over the last 9 years by practicing, learning more and gaining skills to get ahead in the sport.  Jaymee spends time as a junior coach at various curling camps put on by her hometown club. She was a participant in the Alberta Junior Curling provincials in January 2012.

Jaymee understands the term ‘student athlete’ and has made school her number one priority.  With that in mind, Jaymee excels as an athlete.

Jordan is enrolled in his 2nd year of the Kinesiology program.  This is Jordan’s second year as an ACAC competitor.  Jordan has shown huge commitments to the sport of curling over the last several years by practicing often, and gaining the skills and strategy to get ahead in the sport. 

Jordan has made many trips to the Alberta juvenile and junior play downs and has finished with some impressive records.  Jordan participated in Alberta Junior Curling provincials in January 2012.  Jordan skips the Wolves Mixed curling team, and they finished the league in 1st place.  Over his two years of contribution to GPRC Wolves team, he has been a part of some great success. 

Jordan has shown incredible improvements over the years.  This is noted in his skill development, attitude and game strategy. 

Jordan’s hard work, easy-going personality, reliability, competitive and fun nature are qualities which have earned him athlete of the week.
